Envelope Printing on the C3070

Looking to print envelopes on our new Konica C3070 and have had a quote for the envelope kit and fuser but just wondering whether the printer would handle envelopes without these. Also is there a different click charge for envelopes or is it the same as normal sheets?

I run a c1070 with the envelope fuser option and it runs great. With the stock fuser it doesn't have enough clearance to allow an envelope to go through without really ironing it and wrinkling the tail. Even with the envelope fuser kit you still see a little of the flap being pushed through. We pay same single-click I believe for envelopes. It jammed a lot when it was first installed but they came out with an upgrade kit and it rarely ever jams. It only takes a couple of minutes to change the fusers out, very simple.

Hey gazfocus, you really do need the envelope kit. And it's a standard click charge. As Erik mentioned, it's a very quick change-over...just a couple of minutes. The great thing is the C3080 runs envelopes at full rated speed.
