Envelope Types for Digital Printing

Currently we print on gummed envelopes and peel and seal envelopes. I keep getting requests for a different kind of envelope, I think they're called pressure sensitive envelopes. I'm not really familiar with them but they're like peel and seal but without the peel part. Does anyone know if there is someone who makes envelopes like that are compatible for digital printing. We would be printing these in our Canon machines (we have v900s). I haven't turned anything in my online searches.

It doesn't really seem like these would work in digital printers, obviously it would be a non-ideal if they come out of the printer sealed.

I’ve bought rigid mailers with that type of adhesive. It’s called self seal by some. They come flap open. Maybe they could be run on an inkjet printer that has a wide enough gap from the head to the media. I’ve never seen this format on a commercial or booklet/catalog envelope, but maybe this will help get you started.

Hi -
I THINK you are looking for 'Flip Seal' envelopes.
The back panel has a folded area that unfolds to show the second half of the seal.
Then you just press them sealed - no peel and strip.
Like these.
They run ok on digital as the 'seal' areas are closed at printing.
YMMV.
