Epson’s SurePress L-4533AW—designed to print prime labels and flexible packaging—has been unveiled at PackExpo, with availability for late 2017.

The 7-color, L-4533 digital label press features MicroPiezo inkjet technology with variable drop size and keeps water-based resin inks, expanded gamut & high resolution of its predecessor. Also featured is versatile substrate support, printing on off-the-shelf materials from 3.15” to 13” wide and as thin as .00314”, standard paper (including uncoated, gloss & semi-gloss), thin films, vinyl, metallic and laminated pouch materials.

Epson says they developed this press to meet a growing label & flexible packaging market demand for shorter runs with faster turnaround. The new press features longer automated printing times, email alerts with minimal maintenance, allowing a single operator to run multiple units at the same time.

Seriously considering one of these presses. If only it ran faster!! Anybody on here running one of the existing Surepress units that has an opinion?
