I have NO IDEA what the "PAT" job option file is - however that error means that the JobOptions is trying to set the standard to one not supported by that version of Distiller. CS3 would be Acrobat 8, which is no longer supported - so I can't help you beyond that.

Contact the person (Pat?) who provided it.
