Flood coat on Flexo, print on digital?

Is it possible to flood coat a substrate with water based ink on a flexo press, then run it through a digital laser printer with a fuser?

I suppose it's possible, as long as there are no coatings on the pre-printed sheet. That said...why? What did you have in mind?
