Folding Micro Booklets

I have an upcoming order of 3000 micro booklets. 52 pages, 4x5.5. Currently these booklets have to be folded by hand, however it can be extremely taxing to the labourers.

Are there any instruments or tricks that would help facilitate the folding? I don't expect it to be automatic, but perhaps something that I can put the "spine" of the book in and have it compressed.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Saddle stitching as well. I ended up buying an Akilies Bookletmac as it says it can handle about that size -- it's in transit now.

We'll see how it works out -- the max is 64 pages but on 20 lb paper. I'm printing on 32 lb... so yikes.

I've been thinking about one of those Akiles BookletMac as well to replace a used and abused Bookletmate. Please let me know how it goes.
