Dear Indy,

The installation does depend on the size and orientation of your viewing surface.

I have attached installation instructions for our GLL luminaires for your review.

I have also included a flier which describes our vertical wall illumination products. The vertical viewing system luminaire (model GLE-1032P or model GLL-1032e/P) have two special characteristics that help improve the uniformity and coverage on the wall: more output (they each have 10 lamps) plus a parabolic lens to "aim" the light down the wall (as compared with our normal prismatic diffusion lens used in our GLL luminaires).

We would be happy to provide a more detailed review of your application if you wish.

You are welcome to contact us at [email protected] or 888-562-7066.

Happy viewing!

Installation of GLL 440 for Wall Illumination

Installation of GLL 440 for Wall Illumination

Dear Indy -

You can use the same installation geometry for the GLL-440 as the GLE-1032P described in the previous instructions.

The prismatic lens of the GLL-440 will diffuse the light over the wall, however there will be a brighter area at the top of the wall as compared to the bottom.

We use a combination of prismatic (good for diffusion plus high output) and parabolic (good for directing the light, reduces the light output) lenses with out GLE-1032P units with the addition of more than usual (10) lamps to overcome the loss introduced by the parabolic lens.

We have the GLL-440 light boxes.

Thanks for your reply. One more question can we use any of your wall mounts for the GLL-440 light boxes?

Yes you can however it would require us to design a custom bracket to attach the GLL-440 to the wall bracket - which would take time and add cost.

You are welcome to contact me by email to discuss this further ( [email protected] )
