Herkules Imagesetter problem

Hi guys,

I have an Heidelberg Herkules Basic imagesetter with no display screen. Is there any other way to see the error messages?

It's difficult to identify error with your machine. At least, you should have an engineer to look around for eletronic problem or screen display as well.

How can you operate without display screen? You can use hyperterminal connect to VT100 port and boot with Diagnostic disk to find out your problem.

Yes i connected the computer to the VT100 port.

i think problem is in floppy disk or floppy drive.
you have to copy your floppy files disket in new floppy by computer and test herkules with new floppy disk.
if problem not solve.
after power on herkules floppy drive led must turn on for many times.normally after 10 or 12 second led on floppy drive off and on and in screen you will see logo
in damaged floppy drive led very soon off and not turned on untill you restart herkules
