IC-301 Creo on Bishub Pro c500 not printing Color Calibration charts

Hi All,

I need some help with a IC-301 attached to a Bizhub c500. It has stop printing Calibration Charts. When charts are sent from the Creo Control Software a blank sheet comes out of the printer. I have not been able to calibrate the machine. I ran the Creo diagnostic software and it passed all the test. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I also have a black gradation issue in that where black toner is to creates dark tones in images those areas have a vector like appearance. If I print a image in gray scale mode the images comes out like vector art with very solid gradation bars than smooth path that is expected.

I have attached some image showing the problem. The test page show the problem highlighted in red. Also find the images printed directly from the engine producing even tones and gradation.

Update. I got stable image gradation. I used an old calibration print to calibrate and it is now printing much better. Still cannot print a calibration sheet. It comes out empty.

A few other strange issues have been coming up like having to reboot the creo on occasion to make connection with the Bizhub c500. Should I be looking for a new cable between the creo and the bizhub? Any idea where these are sold?

Have you tried to update your Creo to the latest version? I have no experience with Konica, but my X700 with Creo also wouldn't print calibration charts until I installed a calibration fix patch.

Thanks for the suggestions Amer. Where might i find that. The creo site has no files to download and the konica site, only has files from 2005. I would love to try that. Any suggestions as to where to find a patch would be appreciated?

On my RIP (color server) there is a group called CX700 tools with an Update Color Server item. Where it might be on your system, I frankly have no idea. I initially installed it from Utilities/PC Utilities/Support folder. Try to find that on your system.

No update function seems to be in my creo control panel. Nothing on the web either. How may I get the installation disc? I bought the copier used and no discs came with it.

Calibration and gradation problem solved. Solution set software DipSWs 10-6 and 10-7 to OFF and re calibrate the rip.
Blank calibration sheet issue was resolved by replacing the current IC-301 folder in windows with a backup copy from a few ago when it was working well. Printed fine.
