Ink keys setting

We sell Ink Ready for $495 that reads PS/TIFF/PDF and print a setting report for your ink keys/fountains. There are other solutions on the market.

Ray, we currently use PressPercents with mixed results depending on whether the pressman sets sweeps consistently or not because it has no adjustment for sweeps. They recommend to set sweeps at some average setting like 50-60%, whatever the pressman would want to use, and run a calibration that will hopefully get you closer as long as the press is started up with those same sweeps, the program will adjust ink flow with changes in the amount the keys are open.

How does Ink Ready work? Does it also require the pressman set sweeps consistently and the keys settings adjust for the amount of ink required?

If the pressman starts up with different sweeps all the time depending on what he thinks is needed, as far as coverage, will Ink Ready, or any other presetting software, work in that case?

Probably clear as mud but maybe you can decipher what I mean? :)

Thanks
