Ink Usage Calculated by New Ricoh Ink Estimator Tool

Highly accurate ink estimates that enable printers to gather more effective reporting & job costing are now possible with the new Ricoh Ink Estimator Tool. Available for Ricoh’s Pro-VC70000 & Pro-VC60000 presses.

Following the launch of Ricoh’s Extended Gamut ink, Ricoh developed measurement tools to include the ink’s wide color gamut. Ricoh’s dynamically generated droplet sizes deliver clear benefits when it comes to print quality but, until now, posed a challenge for accurate ink estimating.

The new software is retrofittable, and enables more effective reporting & job costing, calculating. Features include:

• Total ink usage & ink cost for a print file or job;
• Flushing Pages Summary—page count of before/during/after printing flushing pages;
• Using the same digital front end, the tool allows it to act as a ‘virtual printer’ / soft proofing device;
• Aids in tuning & settings modifications to ensure smooth printing.

Ricoh’s Pro-VC60000 & Pro-VC70000 Ink Estimator Tool is available now in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) countries.
