Komori Sprint water issue

Today we started up our Komori 226 II Sprint to print. We started the run, when all of a sudden the plate went dark as if it wasnt getting any water. On inspecting the fountain we found that the silver geared roller that sits on top of the water fountain roller would stop turning as you went above 4000 speed on the press. Neither the gear on the roller nor any on the drive train that turns it was turning. Any ideas? Luckily this is just a 1/1 run so we are using the first unit only to finish the job. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Just a guess...you'll have to check your parts manual, but it sounds like a pin broke somewhere. It might just be in far enough to work at a slow speed, but slips as you go faster.
