We have a Lotem 800 platesetter 2002 with Prinergy Evo 4.16.3. Having problems with the plate not exposing to the full circumference of the drum. We are getting a solid 20mm +- bar on the tail end of the plate. our plate size is 950 585mm. How do we set this to expose the full area of the drum. Can anyone help?

Just a shot in the dark...

Are you using positive plates?
(Like Sword, LHPJ, Elite or P970)

That could be the tail clamp shadow.

Steve, I was thinking the same thing, but the Lotem's tail clamp is maximum about 8mm.

Is this the largest plate that you currently image? Is it a new plate size? It's possible that your device is only licensed/configured for a maximum plate size, and is only imaging up to that size.

Have you contacted a Kodak service provider? It sounds like something we could probably help fix remotely through our dial-up service access. Let me know if you need any contact information for that.

Kevin.

Both Kevin and Steve are correct. Due to the Tail Grippers you will get an unexposed area on the plate. The minimum is 6mm. Maybe in your case the Mechanical margin in the registry is set to 20 which will have this effect.
