With the new Macbook just released, do web designers now have to change their resolution? The new retina display boasts 2880-by-1800 resolution. What will I have to supply them with? 72 went up to 96, to... ?

I don't think so since web pages look fine on my retina display iPad.

I realized that when the iPad3 came out. I'm pretty excited about this as the increase in graphics resolution will push more dynamic web development and require increased bandwidth fomenting even more advancement.

This new 220ppi count of the new Retina display MacBook Pro is great news for those in print media. The closer the display ppi is to the print ppi the better when it comes to evaluating perceived print image quality and sharpening.
