There are 4 new EFI Fiery digital front ends for the updated Xerox Versant presses. The new DFEs feature the latest JDF features, FS200 Pro system software & hardware platform, delivering Fiery performance, outstanding color and seamless integration with EFI Productivity Suites, Xerox FreeFlow, Kodak PRINERGY, Heidelberg Prinect and Agfa Apogee.
The Fiery DFE models include the new EX-P & EX 3100 Print Servers for the Xerox Versant 3100 Press, and the EX and EX-i 180 for the Xerox Versant 180 Press. The servers feature 10-bit, 1200 dpi processing with the Ultra Smooth Gradients feature—first available in the Versant 2100 and 80 Presses—which helps eliminate "stair stepped" gradient shades common in vector images.
An enhanced HyperRIP mode parallel processes up to 4 jobs 55% faster than servers without HyperRIP. A new Rush RIP mode opens up a 5[SUP]th[/SUP] RIP to process rush jobs when the other 4 processors are busy.
