A local company, Quad/Graphics, here in Wisconsin has had the contract to print Newsweek since it's beginning 35 years ago. Luckily, Quad/Graphics is a smartly run company and this should have little impact on their overall business and their employees:

I do find it a bit interesting that we are sharing these newspaper articles with everyone via their web editions

It would be funnier if they advertised their online edition in print publications.

It is two years later... they finally announced a tablet edition. A Turn of the Page for Newsweek - The Daily Beast . My question here would be... TWO YEARS?!?!?

And with statistics like "more than 15 million unique visitors a month, a 70 % increase in the past year alone."... I see my answer. They exited print because web was growing too fast, where concentrating on web became more important.
