Panther Plus imagesetter with Rip 10

Hello,

we receive a lot of request for small Film ooutput, my boss got a Panther Plus (13.3 inch) which came with a Panther rip 10.4 (pc).

In the submenue for the recorder I see a Panther plus VR but not a Panther plus, so the Panther Plus is not recognized.
The rip is on XP pro sp2.

Any pointers?

Panther - NOT AGFA equipment, but IMHO you need a correct plugin for your machine.

Used a Panther Plus with RIP 9. Did you try using the Panther Plus VR driver? I believe the VR just stands for the Visible Red laser diode. The early Panthers used an InfraRed diode.

Dear Chuck,

i have to ask where or how I can install the VR driver for the Panther Plus, there is very little Documentation which came with this recorder.

Go to Panther Rip spftwae, Select Panther Plus on SETUP menu an then in OUTPUT DEVICES submenu. That's all my friend.
