Pitstop 11: Check document colors

Good day everyone,

Currently I am using pitstop v11, but I can't get the color check as desired.

What I want is
Check document for color
Approved colors; Black and Gray.
Disallowed colors; C,M,Y and RGB.

Only problem I have is
With the preflight;
Document contains colors other than tints of the following color;
  • Black (checked)
  • Image or not black (checked)
I get an error message for NChannel color black. But this is good and prints well with me. So I do not want him showing it as error message.

So, how can I use my check colors in this way, he doesn't shows this as an error anymore!?

Mrbrown, it may help if you .zip compress the Action List .eal file and the PDF and attach the archive to a post, or provide a link to DropBox or similar.

I was going to suggest mapping all blacks, gray and registration to separation black, then selecting objects NOT separation black.

i can check within the trimbox, so the registration colors wont be shown as error. Only when checking for color's the nChannel is stilling shown. This cant be avoid without changing this color?

You get a 1 warning; color is used, that is not form the required color set.

So what you are looking for is a check that files are Grayscale/Black only?

Nothing else, no spot colors, no CMY?

Just checking as they maybe a different approach.

Indeed, and it there are CMY or Spot colors, show which page, cause that is what the 'color is used, that is not form the required color set' does nicely.

Still i have a problem with the colors, so i like to come back here to this question, as you can see I'm struggling with it for years now and I can't get it right.

For the right order:
Messages:
I would like to check the document on all colors except black.
So if there is an indexed cmy or normal cmy or any other kind of cmy, I should get a alert/message
RGB calibrated or other kind of RGB, a message
spot color, message
Spot all, message

OK:
Black = good (no message)
gray = good (no message)
NChannel gray = good (no message)
Device n = gray solid (no message)
A color figure in CMYK using only black = good (no message)
And any other kind of CMYK (index calibrated) uses only black = good (no message)

Who can help me here...?

- There should be people who have experienced problems with this... i think -

Which PitStop version do you have no, still 11?
If you are on Linkedin, you might want to post it on the Official PitStop user group on there, it's a bit more focused than this one.
Can you add the sample files as well?

Why not something like this (image attached)?
