Reading an IT8 Chart

Hi everyone,

I have an i1 iSis and would like to read a printed IT8 chart to ultimately build an ICC profile. What (preferably Mac) software can I use ONLY for reading the chart and saving a measurement file? I'll send the measurement file to someone else to convert to an ICC profile.

X-Rite i1 Profiler should be able to measure and save the measurement data even in demo (unlicensed) mode.

Failing that the old, free X-Rite ColorPort software should be able to do the same.

TIP: No matter what software you use, after scanning the chart - save the measurement data in as many formats and variations as you can, different profiling software may or may not like some file formats or options and it will save you having to re-measure. Also measure under different illuminant conditions if possible, depending on whether you need to include or exclude optical brightening agents from the measurements (you could get the other party to create two profiles, one including and one excluding UV).
