Hello! Was wondering if anybody has had experience with either of these machines?
Looking at both right now for my digital printing upgrade. Any advice or experience would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

There are previous posts on both machines on this site. Details of your workload, media choices, finishing accessory needs, etc would enhance the quality of our recommendations.

I have a km c1060 now. Print a lot of carbon less forms. Also envelopes. Anywhere from coated stocks to uncoated stocks. I have searched for the Ricoh pro 5310. Haven’t seen any posts come up. Please direct me to one.

What do you like and dislike about your C1060?
How many years have you had it & has it served you well?
Most importantly, how would you rate the service you've received from your click provider?
Likes:
I can print envelopes without opening the flaps
print carbonless no problem
print 130# cover double sided
not down very often

Dislikes:
My KM dealer won't service a machine coming out of service contract being sold on Ebay

Parts from one machine won't go on another machine even though its working fine to be able
to save money

My service is great for the most part just know that bigger shops get serviced priority over me.

How many clicks on your 1060? I have a 1060, a 3070 and am considering a 3080. All off contract. I like them because so many (most) of the parts are interchangeable and I don't have to buy parts for different machines.

Looks like 3,192,001 total count. I only get 1 click no matter what size I print. So my tech tells me KM considers at least double that.
I have been having my salesperson look for a 3070 to get for me for over 2 years. They can't seem to find any. I have personally found at least 4 of them just like I needed configured on Ebay but they won't touch them. 3 of them were coming out of KM service contracts and were bank repo jobs. They still would not touch them. I guess its because I could get them for under $30K. They want to sell me a used machine for $59k and a new machine for over $85K.

No dealer would take on an unknown like this.
If you want a refurbished machine, let your dealer source one for you, bring it up to spec and put it on contract.

There's a reason the machines on eBay and Craigslist are much cheaper - and that is not because they're a bargain.
Those machines will generally need thousands spent on them to bring up to spec. Their market is dealers who will spend money to refurb them and sell them on, and people who decide to go it alone, which many times ends up in tears - all well documented on this forum.

From a PM perspective in a production environment where you're maximising the click, double is roughly correct. Check your PM counter and you'll see for yourself.

They want to sell me a used machine for $59k and a new machine for over $85K.
Unless this C3070 comes fully loaded with 3 x 707 paper decks and a load of fancy finishing kit, then those numbers look very, very high. Check out some other dealers!

I have a 5310 and we use this for short run or walkin jobs....honestly beefy machine compared to what I was thinking I would get....it works great we also scan and fax from it....highly recommend and I have so many Ricoh production pieces, all of which I love....I saved alot of $$ by getting no fiery and it has been worth it so far!

If the machine is coming out of a service contract with KM what are the unknowns? You know its been serviced by a tech that works for KM and the copy count is only 148,000. Like I stated I have been having them look for a 3070 for over 2 years. I would love for another dealer to find one for me. But guess what no other dealer can come into my area. My current dealer has a lock on this area.

Thanks for the info. I would need a fiery for sure. Without it work flow would be a issue. I heard you have to open the flaps of envelopes to print them. No way I am doing that. This would be something to compare to a KM C3070. Don't know if that will hold true.
