Summary: Administer print shop management system and provide technical support to print services personnel and collaborate with other ministry teams with the goal of integrating manufacturing process information. Provide technical expertise to leverage digital print technology related to production efficiency and marketing through variable data printing.
Job Requirements:
Study or Knowledge and Experience:
BS degree in computer technology.
Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet software.
Superior knowledge of technology including, but not limited to servers, workstations, networks, and the Internet.
Strong working knowledge of workflow management software.
Strong knowledge of graphic arts products and services.
Strong working knowledge of PDF methods and procedures. Full understanding of the print requirements surrounding the following file formats helpful: TIFF, PS, EPS.
Strong knowledge of graphic arts and printing technology.
Proficient with Crystal Reports and FileMaker Pro.
Working knowledge of computer software and hardware used for tracking and maintaining inventory.
Strong knowledge of database manipulation and variable data software.
Working knowledge of digital print front-end, RIP systems.
Experience with digital asset management systems helpful.
Familiarity with basic technical skills in HTML, XML, Javascript, and have a working knowledge with basic software packages, FTP utilities, and project management utilities.
Basic knowledge of paper, ink and chemicals, and other supplies used in graphic arts and printing.
