We have run a couple Thermo-ink jobs over the years.
CTI-Ink supplier out of Colorado.

Not much to share, the inks work as described.

You have alot of options from them i.e. color changing or disappearing color.

What questions do you have ?

Did the inks cover the substrate well and did you find them strong enough? Do you remember what color you ran also?

Yes they covered well and worked as described. Only type not solids.

Hi,
I have just printed a job using UV thermochromic varnish which turns blue when the packaging is placed in a refrigerator.

We found that if the job has to run in 2 passes as this one did, 9 colours, it was best to print the varnish last, also it piled on the blanket requiring many blanket washes, if we do the job again it will be done using a thermochromic coating as this would be easier to control.

Piling usually comes along with poorly formulated TC offset inks. It can be overcome in the hands of a lab technician with great savvy.
