I feel this post. I did have a yellow that the machine called empty that i kept around for a rainy day, was able to rotate around the contents until the machine accepted it.

Anyone want to lend me a magenta for a Konica 6085? No response from reps, been trying to get magenta all year.

So I’ve had some random toner bottles that the machine wouldn’t read. Idk about other brands, but I can take and wait until the same color toner gets down to 10% then take the chip from that bottle and put on the bottle that the machine isn’t reading. Been pretty successful doing in this time where every toner matters. Just make sure you pulled it before it hits empty or the chip won’t work.

I'm also looking for TN-619 for AccurioPress C3070. Is it true that if I use an OEM TN-312 toner (which is what is available) to refill in to my empty TN-619 can work with our machine without causing issues later? In Kenya we are desperate.

Somebody who may know this please help before I make a regrettable mess. Can TN-312 toner (which I have in stock) work with C3070 if I empty it to the machines bottle?. My supplier is not expecting toner until further notice.

I dumped 3 "empty" black toners into one that was showing a single bar on a Xerox 1000 and it worked. We dumped into bag and funneled it into the bottle.

My KM tech is here to service the 6135. We are having CQ issues with ghosting. He pulls out this tech pub that said they need to purge the toner hopper because the regular toner is mixed with the new "H" toner and causing issues. They ne 9,999 sheets to run at full coverage to do this. I looked at him and asked if he left his paper in the truck. He said it's in the contract we need to supply an adequate amount of paper for service. I said what's adequate to me is 1000 sheets. I told him to vacuum it out and he wined that is would clog his vac. I laughed and said to bad you ain't getting 10,000 sheets of paper.

I’d be fired up if a tech wanted to use 10k sheets of mine. I’m sure they wouldn’t settle for 8.5x11 20lb either. Hell I get a little feisty when I walk in after a tech has been there and see a stack of 16pt on the tray lol.

If Ricoh's don't need chips, why do others????
Captive market.
My laminator same way w/rolls. I got them to give me one "never ending" chip for film they didn't support. Installed it permanently. Saved all the others. FujiPla.

Ricoh had chips in the past and it really just caused problems and wasted toner due to bottles being falsely flagged empty. I never thought it made sense on these type of machines where just about everyone gets supplies included. It's not like. People are going to buy toner from a 3rd party when they get toner in the contract. Maybe it's different in other countries?

I think the shortages for most companies are from shipping. I know konica had that plant destroyed and is causing their shortages. Luckily we haven't had where people are down we have had to borrow from one customer to help another one but the delays haven't been enough where anyone has been down.

The chip thing for Xerox is because they’ve caught people selling contract supplies. The chip distinct a bottle between contract supplies and 3rd party vendors.

We had a bottle completely fall apart on us….operator was lightly shaking it……it was a complete catastrophe and a pain to clean it all up.
