It looks like you have turned off the visibility of PMS 7519 in the Separations palette. What does it look like when you click it on?

Could there be a white stroke around the text with zero weight? It also looks like there is a slightly darker outline around the text in your screen-shot (where the trap area would be). Does it really look that way or is it just JPEG detritus? Your output preview window reads 100% for 7464, so as long as your cursor is in the background somewhere, it can't be a darker tint of the spot ink I'm seeing.

Is this the PDF you're submitting to your RIP that is pre-trapped (in which case your RIP trap settings aren't very relevant), or is this a PDF output by your RIP after processing and trapping?

trap?

trap?

Hey Urbis;
There is a check box checked that reads “Re-trap Trapped Items”. Looks like that’s what’s happening here; its trapping your pre-existing traps. Have you looked at the same text at that zoom before running the trapper?
Just a thought... have a great weekend.

Peace to the PrintPlanet!!

Try and change all type to outlines & see if this changes anything.
I have experienced different results when trapping vector as opposed to type.

PDF is not trapped, that we received from the client...

The hairline artifacts seems to be in acrobat. It could be that you have smoothing settings in acrobat? Have you looked at the trapped separations in raster data?

I do not understand "i have smoothing settings"?? help

Where to look trapped separations in raster data?

Try doing a vps proof at 2400dpi or whatever your final output res is. Like Lukas says, it is an Acrobat/visual artifact and I doubt you'll see it when the page is rasterized. I have seen this quite a bit and it's never turned into a problem so I've begun to accept it as a part of the landscape. -Dan

Not traping, original, pantone 7519 is off for preview

it seems to me that the font is too thin in "with trap"

I did not understand well, because my English is not stronger side :(,

you said to do with the VPS preview where they can see raster, ok i try

I made and sent the preview you can see ... it seems to me that font is too thin after a traping

Lucas is right, what you see is only preview in Acrobat.
Did you try to rip thid file and look at the result, I suspect this wont be there.

The font may look too thin after trapping, but remember that the Pantone 7519 will cover it all up.
In my experience it's fine, it's a brown going down onto a light blue the overlap will not be noticed.
If you feel it's trapping too much to it, try change the setting in the Trap Panel, under the subheading Text. 'Small Text Size Limit' you can increase this, the text in the file is 8pt, your value is set to 6pt, if you change it to 8pt it will then scale the trap using the value you enter in the box below.

Sorry it's hard to explain it, hope you understand it.
