Xante does not warranty Illumina Parts

I've owned a Xante Illumina for 3+ years,
they use to be decent about replacing their parts when like drums and fusers.

Xante keeps changing their policy on warranty on their parts,
originally they use to say the parts had to be over 50% life and
of course you have to jump thru hoops, print and scan pages and send to them,
but at least Xante use to make good and stand behind their product.

Then, I was told that the parts were warranty 90 days from date of install
and at least 50% life.

Now, Xante claims the warranty is only 90 days from the purchase date
and only if the parts have over 75% life

WHICH MEANS YOU CAN NOT STOCK AN EXTRA DRUM OR PART
BECAUSE IF IT IS DEFECTIVE, and you bought it over 90 days,
XANTE WILL NOT HONOR IT.

YOU HAVE BE WARNED !!

Yes, their warranty claims suck. But I never considered the inconvenience of not being to keep backups on the shelf. But then again, I never could afford to buy their parts unless I needed it!

Possibly a sign of the times? Less money to go around. Less money to warranty defective parts. On the other hand, if the parts are prone to defects, the policy would be changed in the same fashion. This makes me afraid of Xanté.

Listen, I'm sure there are people that would try to take advantage
and try to get free parts, but I've always used Xante parts,

and never ran any heavy stocks, only envelopes, light coverage jobs,
So when the Xante support lectures us on coverage, heavy paper and so on,
will shorten the life of their parts, this is a problem,
because the people buying their "envelope model"
will find out that the costs of owning one of these printers
is very high, and many hidden costs for parts (drums, fusers, etc)

I would like to hear from other Xante users,
that have experience with defective parts,
especially those that fail prematurely.

Good printer, horrible company behind standing behind it !

It's time to speak up and let everyone know what this company is doing!

Xante parts + consumables

Xante parts + consumables

I have had a Ilumina for 2 years and stopped buying consumables from them after a year.
There are other suppliers for both toner and drums.
In fairness to Xante, the printer does a nice job on envelopes up to 6 X 9 but output is
dicey on anything else.
I did suggest that Xante offer a drum rebuild and toner cartridge refill service, but that idea fell on deaf ears.

hi
Would you mind sharing,
what vendor or brand you have used for the illumina supplies, toner and drums,
Thanks!
