Xerox 4112/4127 Vs. Nuvera 120

I currently run a Nuvera 120 recently we have been having a few technical problems with the machine. A tech Specialist looked at the machine fixed the problems we where having and it seems to run fine for now (*Crosses Fingers*).

A Xerox sales rep. which we have been communicating with mentioned we should go for the 4112 and dropped off a booklet. I like the fact that there is a paper tray that can hold up to 5000 sheets which would be a bonus considering I can only hold 500 11 x 17 sheets at the most on the Nuvera.

Looking for some guidance on the right choice here, stick to the 120 or take the step and go for the 4112??!!??

What issues are you having with your 120? I have 2 120's and 2 100's and these machines have given me less headaches then anything else I've ever ran - and they are 3 years old.

If your Xerox rep is saying you should switch it out because of performance you should tell him you want a like-4-like instead of signing a new lease so they can tack in a buy out of your Nuvera.

That is a strange recommendation to go from a Nuvera to a 4112. The 4112 is a great machine and all of the customers that I have love the machine, but they would not change it out for a 4112...only if the volume decreased dramatically and they need to save money.

Get Service to step up and fix your 120....otherwise exercise your TSG. Tell them you are thinking about doing a TSG....and watch them get it fixed fast.

We recently moved two of our printers Nuvera 120 and a 700 into a room with a Draabe humidifier which keeps the room at 40% , plus the tech that we use to have retired so we have a new one that wasnt very familiar with the 120.

The Xerox NCR that I was running in the 120 kept of buckling in the fuser area, even if I messed around the pressure roll it didnt help so we got a new pressure roll and a swatch blade and everything has been running fine for now. *Thanks for the advice*

I had the same views on switching it out however, its half the space plus twice the speed and its monthly output (4127) will be closer to what we are actually running. Also I'm unfamiliar of what a TSG is could you please fill me in.

Draft up a letter that states you would like to exercise your Total Satisfaction Guarantee and put your serial number on there as well. It does not have to be long but write down some of your points of dissatisfaction.

Give the letter to your service technician, to the sales person, and send it to Xerox's Customer relations department. Service will come out and put the full court press to fix the machine, fi they can't they will swap it out. You won't get a new one, but they will swap it out. Every once in a while....someone gets lucky and gets a brand new one.

I am curious what kind of volume you are running?

Nuvera 100

I have a Xerox Nuvera 100 that I am interested in selling along with the toner. Asking $15k for it. It was purchased new from Xerox in 2006 and has been under maintenance contract since. The machine has around 11M clicks on it and runs great. It is located near Austin, TX.
