Xerox 700 & Matte Coated Papers?

We just installed a 700, which in general runs well. Today we are trying to run a job on a 100% post-consumer waste recyced, matte-coated paper, 100#. The paper is quite toothy, but jams. It either doesn't make it out of the high-capacity drawer, or double-sheets. Our tech says nothing can be done. It's the paper.

We've run tons of coated papers, 100% recycled papers, etc. Never had a problem

Anyone have a suggestion, besides using a different paper?

If you have the HCF then the best thing to do is setup a custom paper setting for that stock and then you can specify the air assist values, such as multifeed, misfeed. This option is in the tools mode and under paper tray settings.

Thanks for the suggestion. We actually put the paper into the bypass tray and it's running fine, even without using anti-static tinsel. Doesn't seem logical that the bypass tray would work better than the high-capacity drawer which has better guides and a blower, but in the case of this particular stock, it's working. I'm just happy to get this job going at a reasonable pace. The boss was getting really grumpy.

The bypass tray is far less precise and consistent compared to ohcf. In general the 700 is very picky on papers and print quality (once you do your first 100.000 clicks). If you want real quality, you have to stick to xerox paper. :(
