What experience have others had getting reimbursed for clicks because of defects?

We have a machine that had a defect show up in the middle of a run, and it wasn't real noticeable. We ruined about 900 two sided sheets.

One of our service techs refuses to give us more than a couple hundred clicks for it.
 
The reimbursement "click" is something you negotiated when you signed your contract. They should give you exactly as many clicks as were waste, but the don't really save you that much. Our tech usually gives us like 2000 reimbursement clicks when we go through 1500 bad clicks, just to compensate for random bs.
 
The rembursed clicks are not the same rate as your charged clicks. Our tech will write off whatever we ask.
