Xerox Versant 180 compatible card thickness microns vs GSM

Good evening team!
I am currently looking for some new card stuck for one-sided greetings cards (and the like) as the one I'm using is tending to crack on the crease (Novatech digital coated 350gsm silk)

I'm very aware that the actual GSM of a cardstock means little as to it's real compatibility with a machine, for example the 350 silk I am using is significantly thicker and stiffer than the gloss version of the same line (which means I'm able to duplex the gloss, just have to tell the machine that it's a 300)

I'm looking for people's experiences with the maximum thickness that they have been able to run (will be Tray 5 bypass)
The cardstock I'm looking at is a one-side-coated 330gsm board but is rated at 435microns (Invercote G), significantly thicker than the 350 silk.

Sadly I'm not easily able to get a sample that i can run properly, and my minimum order is £200, I don't want to land myself with £200 of unusable card!

We used to run 400gsm all the time on our old v80. Not sure what mic they used to be but some where bulky enough. Registration was never an issue. Grain direction is important, mostly card stocks would be Sra3 short grain but odd ones might be cut from larger sheets.

Yeah the gloss 350 I got in last week was as floppy as 250 silk of the same line! easily went through duplex, just had to tell the press it was 300.
I only order grain short for thick stuff, which sometimes is a problem for wastage as I like to cut greetings cards in a certain direction.

Just in the office now and the 400gsm Magno Silk SG I use is 412mic. Also to note that was on the V80 which was only rated to 350gsm max.

Invercote G is a great board for greetings cards. We used to use lots of it in our V280 and V80, so I would say you will be fine. Excellent at not cracking after scoring.
Hi - Good to hear, I actually got a shipment of 300gsm in on Wednesday, ran well through the v180, 680 cards now made :)
I haven't received the order of 330 yet but hope that goes through just as well.
Very impressed with the clean fold.
