Konica Minolta Bizhub Pro 1200 print density issues

Does anyone out there have a Konica Minolta Bizhub Pro 1200. We are having print density issues with ours and are wondering if it is a issue that other people are experiencing or if our machine is just a lemon. We run most things on a larger sheet (11 x 17 or bigger) and it seems to print lighter on one side or the other. If we impose the same page 2 up and print, one side is noticeably darker than the other. KM has tried to correct this issue several times and it is just not going away. Anyone else out there having this problem?

Did you ever get anywhere with this issue? Seeing the same thing on our 1200... Last time tech looked at it he shrugged and said he'd get back to us. Never heard back. Got another call in now...

Its been a while since I've had to service a b/w machine but on the 6500/6501 this is due to Charge Corona being slightly uneven. on the 6500 there was pretty much nothing you could do other then shim it a bit with some electrical tape, on the 6501 they added an adjustment to the assembly.
If I remember correctly the corona assembly is more or less the same on the b/w machines
Is the density out slightly like 100%k vs 90% or drastically out like 100%vs 60%?

If its out slightly, its pretty much in the theres nothing you can do category as its one of the limitations of the machine. Your tech can shim the corona to try and minimise it, but you can only shim one side which means theres a limit to what you can do.

This may not be your issue, but it sounds like it. I could tell you more if you were able to post a sheet with a full solid print

Their are things they can do. Have seen it on 6500. Sounds like lack of knowledge by the tech. Only thing im aware of is new coronas that might be all you need. But I think their are a few tweaks he can do. Try cleaning them your self see if you see an improvement.
