Versant 280 Creasing

I know why this creasing occurs it is because it’s a combination of the decurler rollers and pressure roller. This tends to happen every 1-2 months. Once engineer has replaced it clears.

I’m just curious does anyone else have this issue? It always happens on 100gsm silk up to to 150gsm silk only. The temperature setting is set to low for this type of stock. Only happens when duplicating as well.

Also happens with me with some brands of 80gsm laser. Changing from short grain to long grain or long grain to short grain seems to help.

That's true but 1-2 months is crazy for constant failures on that. Something must be causing the premature failure.

what kind of volume in that period? The "failure" can be either in the upper belt assembly or the lower pressure roller.

it could also just be your stock... grain direction, natural curl, humidity

oh, and also are you changing your suction filters (the one in the back) regularly?

When we have this issue it's usually the slip sheet in the fuser that's deteriorated.
