    Help with XmPie project output

Hope all are well. We have an XmPie variable data project that generates a pdf with documents for multiple recipients; with as few as one and as many as eleven pages. Each file and page has a differentiating ID text/code. XmPie generates one pdf with all the pages and can't split output into...

    auto launch PitStop

Yup, you could call that ugly! On the other hand; if it works..... A bit surprised an Enfocus person hasn't chimed in, (either way). Anyway, thanks, we'll give it a try.

    auto launch PitStop

I could set Acrobat to start at launch via startup item (windows) or login items (Mac). Not sure what item I would use to launch PitStop when Acrobat launches.

    Acrobat X transfer preferences

Duane, thanks for your reply, but sadly no, that is not the issue. The application menu bar at the top is fine. I was hoping to transfer my settings for toolbars and other settings. Meanwhile, I bit the bullet and just set everything back up again. A pain, but, worth it. Thanks again. Stephen

    Acrobat X transfer preferences

Hello folks: We've rebuilt a Mac and reinstalled software. Only issue is restoring tool bars and preferences for Acrobat X. I know it's old but we've got some customization that works best there. Already tried moving over the usual preference and application support files. Nope. Any ideas...

    Pitstop from Odystar

We'd like to have the PitStop server functionality without the rest of the Odystar. We don't have the DI press anymore plus the Mac Pro is old and slow. We were hoping the Pitstop segment of Odystar would have some 'license' transferability value and run standalone.

    Pitstop from Odystar

Hello: We have an Esko/Odystar system that was part of a Presstek DI system. It is on an older Mac Pro. Is there a way to 'extract' the PitStop functionality from the Odystar and use it like PitStop server? Thanks. stephen

Who has the best all-around package for web-to-print?

At Pageflex, support services was among the groups hardest hit by the rounds of layoffs in the past year. Still some brilliant folks remain on staff. With key developers and support personnel gone it's not surprising to hear about your difficulties. White knights do sometimes come through and...

    Imac or Mac Pro?

...and don't forget ...and don't forget Don't forget the Mac mini! iMac is a terrific, cost-effective solution. I've purchased MANY. Mac Pro is killer (especially video work) and very pricey for prepress. Issue for me with iMac is that when it comes time to upgrade I feel like I've wasted a...
