Which software can move CMYK curve of a pdf?

PitStop will change several images at the same time, but they have to be in the same color mode. For example, you can grab several CMYK images to edit together, but you cannot edit a CMYK and a RGB image together.

    i1 Display Pro

The i1 Display Pro acts as a hardware key for i1 Profiler. It gives you access to the monitor profiling capabilities. I am running i1 Profiler on OS 10.8.5 without problems. Has he downloaded the latest version?

Which software can move CMYK curve of a pdf?

Like Stephen said, PitStop is currently limited to curve adjustments on raster images. Alwan CMYK Optimizer can perform curve adjustments to all PDF content. I think Bodoni Systems' InkWize can do it, too.

    ES2000 for Epson???

Yes, you can use your ES-2000 with your Epson. You will need some RIP software to accomplish anything.

Photoshop 6 To Onyx Productionhouse 10.2 ICC Profile Question

If you're working and saving in Lab, then it doesn't matter what your CMYK policy is. "Preserve embedded profile" only has an effect when opening an image that has an ICC profile attached that differs from the profiles specified in your color settings.

    Onyx ICC Profile Help

Your Photoshop settings really don't have anything to do with Productionhouse. If you don't embed profiles in your images, you're just restricting the information Productionhouse has to work with. Productionhouse will have to use the assumed source profiles you put into your settings.

    16pager

There are about 1,000 ways to run this - four 4-pagers, two 8-pagers, a single 16-pager, 4-page cover with a parallel 12-page, low-folio lip, high-folio lap, head-to-head, head-to-foot, blah, blah, blah... Talk to the bindery, get written instructions signed in blood. With bindery, if you...

G7 - Converting CIELab to ND

I used to use ColorLab for this. Unfortunately, it doesn't run under Mountain Lion. In a Windows environment, I think you can still run it. I'm pretty sure Babelcolor's CT&A will do this. Robin Meyers Imaging's SpectraShop may, also.

Do you charge clients for preepress re-design?

Does not charging for a service devalue the service? Are there options other than: 1) calculate your costs and what you want/need to make in excess of those costs and stick to that or 2) identify the value to the customer of the service(s) you provide, and charge accordingly or 3) what the...

    Light indicator band issues.

You say that they all appear slightly different. Do some of them indicate that lighting is good while others show that the lighting is unacceptable? D50 was redefined a few years back; are all of the stickers you have up to date? Are the bulbs in your booth up to date?

Customer Supply Live File vs PDF...

A Connector is a little tougher to forget. In the InDesign File menu right below Export, you get Export Certified PDF. The resulting menu is simpler than the PDF Export menu. The PDF is created, preflighted, corrected (if possible), and delivered right out of InDy. It could not be any easier...

    Ink key presetting

I would say absolutely. The pressmen can "zero out" the press between jobs. That way they're beginning from a common place. This works well for registration, too. (A caveat, this is realistic only on presses with the appropriate level of automation.) You have to have a software that is capable...

So, which is dumber (more dumb?), a bag of hammers or a box of rocks?

    Ink key presetting

Yes and no, and I think this is the primary problem that Erik has with the systems. The ink key presets only set the the keys for anticipated ink take-off. I believe the sweep will be left to the pressman's discretion. This means that the volume of ink going into the ink train is inconsistent...

    Proof Verifier

Probably the most popular software to do this is SpotOn. A similar product would be Alwan Print Verifier. Bodoni Systems' PressSIGN can qualify/score sheets, generate plate curves, give ink key adjustments (like any press console), and provide trending information. It'll read, and provide data...

    Input profile question

Haven't worked with Command Workstation, but if it operates like Fiery XF, then yes, kdw75, I would think that is correct. When outputting the profiling target, you want no color conversions, but you DO want all linearization/calibration applied.

Side by side pages, is 10 the max?

I don't really understand why you want/need to set it up in 13 side-by-side pages, but you can do it in Illustrator. Sounds like the printer hasn't done his homework. Ask him to send you a template.

    Ink key presetting

Worked with a press the other day that had no ink fountains, fountain rollers, or ductors. Instead the ink was pumped directly onto the metering roller. Probably old hat to many of you, but it was new to me.
