A few months ago my avantra 30 began to have reboot problems (like after a film jam requiring the side doors to open to clear it). Then a month ago the control panel had a transistor burn out. I replaced the control panel, the battery on the DEC board and reinstalled the parameters by using Unidiag. It still strugels to boot only after it has been off for hours and when it does boot it does not let me select A or B cassetts and load film. I have talked to several techs. and they all seem perplexed. I get error messages but not always the same ones. I have run the Unidiag tests and everything seems to test ok. I can use the "commands" to physically test different components and they seem ok too. HELP!!!!

You'd rather invite experienced tech to look deeper in your machine.
You replaced OCP... but did you download correct version of OCP software after that?
I don't think you will get the help at forum, because the problems you have - need the PROFESSIONAL help.
And you want such a kind of help for free...

I hear what you are saying but there is no tech support in Albania. We would have to fly someone in from Austria or??? This would cost 3000 euro ($4000 USD) to start++++. It would be cheaper to buy another used one. This is the problem. Its not that i enjoy the agony I have been going through but the first half of the year was pretty brutal and we are happy to still be in business. We are really busy now but cash flow does not allow the freedom to run to the phone with the first sign of a problem. Do you have any encouraging words/suggestions?

Show us all version numbers from your OCP at booting time: DEC, DSP. OCP, DIAG...and so on

Aha... revision 2.3, not the latest but OK.
IF YOU CAN CHECK EVERY MOTOR USING UNIDIAG AND MOTORS WORK, THAT MEANS - SMTHG WRONG HAPPENED DURING OCP REPROGRAMMING

Or even worse ... if you download DSP params via UNIDIAG - that will corrupt some data
