Creasing and folding

With no pre creasing, what is the weight limit that can be fed in a folder and not cause paper and toner cracking?
Are floor/large folders better at not causing cracking, than tabletop units?

In making booklets with inner pages above the weight limit, do the inner pages have to be creased, or is it sufficient to just crease the cover?

Is cracking more visible in digital folds compared to offset?

Thanks

You need to fold parallel to the grain.
Generally, anything over 12pt (0.3mm), will need to be creased.
If you have the budget, you should also consider a cover laminate as a guarantee against spine cracking.
