creasing on Versant 280

we run predominantly 135 gsm silk CONDAT paper.
We're having horrendous problems with the paper creasing in the press. Been ongoing for a few months now.
New fuser asemmblies fitted, decurl assembly replaced, we are changing 2nd BTR probably every 3/4 days.
Anyone else seeing similar? If so, any successful hacks/work rounds.
Xeriox seemingly ummaware of any issues beyond our machine

Can you try a different make of silk to rule out the stock?

Why are you changing the 2nd BTR every 3/4 days, is that solving the creasing or another issue?

I’m a bit surprised that you have this problem on a stock like this. I had creasing issues on the V280 when running 13x19 60lb uncoated (89gsm). It would be worse on one brand and then disappear after about 50 sheets on another brand which lead me to believe it was in the fuser area.

Do you know if they replaced the pressure roller when they replaced the fuser belt assembly? It’s not part of the fuser assembly, it sits just under the fuser assembly.

I haven’t resolved the issue but it’s not a problem right now since my paper distributor hasn’t had any 60lb 13x19 uncoated in stock.

We have the same problem on Condat Gloss 115gsm on our Iridesse and Versant 2100. Assumed it was just too thin to run.
To fix on the Iridesse we back off the fuser temp and pressure roller. Assume you can do same on Versant.

Condat 135gsm silk if bought as SRA3 looks to be Long grain. If the product isn't grain dependent I'd see about getting short grain (probably SRA2 and trim in half). Still should be able to print it without creasing but just a possible workaround.

Adjusting the fuser pressure isn't an option in custom paper settings and I've never been able to find a way to change the pressure. Sure would like to know if someone has done this on a Versant 280 or 180.
