Duplo has announced the launch of the DC-618 slitter / Cutter / Creaser—the newest addition to its line of automated finishers—and will be running live demonstrations at PRINT-19 in Chicago (Booth #1224) & PRINTING United in Dallas (Booth #8408).

- Faster output, on heavier stock:
- Boosted processing speed from 10 to 23 sheets per minute and paper weights have increased from 350 to 400 gsm.
- The PC Controller software & LCD control panel interfaces also received a facelift, making them more intuitive and user-friendly for short-run finishing.
- The workflow integration between EFI’s Fiery Impose and the DC-618 has been carried over to streamline the job preparation process in Fiery Driven print environments:
- Applying imposition, barcodes and registration marks for accurate finishing.
- The ability to perform up to 6 slits, 30 cuts and 20 creases in a single pass—able to produce business cards, postcards, brochures and book covers with a full-bleed finish.
- Standard features include an automatic barcode & registration mark scanner, ultrasonic double feed detection and a long paper tray.
