Fiery Crash Problems - Ideas Welcome...!

Hi

I am running a Xerox 260 with an external Fiery with CW5. Most of the jobs I run are SRA3 printing 4up or 8-up A6 2 sided postcards and I manually duplex them. I keep on having the Fiery crash when it is at about 50% printing the 2nd side.

I have replaced the memory and the fan seems fine. We just can’t work out what is causing this.

Any ideas would be greatly received!

Usually the bad hdd or corupt software on hdd.
Probably you need to reload the Fiery software

We had this issue with our Fiery and after several days we figured out that the dvd drive itself was somehow crashing the rip. The press would be running along just fine and then just crash in the middle of a run. Strange thing is we never even used the drive. It was really frustrating. We opened the side of the fiery and physically unplugged the dvd drive and it never crashed again. Sounds odd I know, but worth a try.
