Any help here would be appreciated. We have been having a severe problem with paper rings damaging our sleeves. The edge of the web is building up on our sleeves so that when we go to a wider web, sleeves are leaving a non printed line in our work. We are also having issues with our eletra washers leaving grooves on the sleeves as well. Anyone else ever have an issue like this?

Can you reduce web tension? I understand this is very difficult at the hi-speeds you are probably running. 2800 - 3200 fpm? Taking a guess.

Work with the sleeve (blanket manufacturer) to recompose the rubber to a more forgiving compressibility that will allow you to switch web widths without the distortion of print. Not sure how many suppliers of the sleeves are available in the marketplace, but technical assistance is surely needed in your situation sir.

I am guessing this a RRD facility, so when they speak providers will listen and provide response. Hope this helps somewhat. D
