We just changed out the gripper bars on our old T-PLATEN letterpress and now they are rubbing on the back steel.

Does anyone know how to adjust them so it doesn't rub?

There are two mounting bolts for each arm.
Loosen both enough to wiggle the arm a bit and shim under the outer edge. I've shimmed with chipboard, because chipboard fixes everything, and plate material.

I just took my set to the machine shop and had them mill down the arms a little where they connect with the 2 bolts so they cleared the die jacket.
been running fine for the last 5 years sense i did it.

Im guessing these are reproduction arms and have just been manufactured to thick.
You could use card at the back edge to rise the front but I dont recomend this as it can throw the 2 heads out of time with each other.
Tonez of getting a machine shop to take a little off the top would be best.
It is possible to file it manually but again it can throw the 2 sides out of time with each other.
