OK... Lets say you have a PMS 877 on a 8.5 x 11 page. In the middle of the page is a photo of a face that is a half tone in 877... Weird huh.. Anyway, There is also a title in 20 point type that is under the photo and its knocked out showing the paper (or white). The pressman hate this sort of thing and it always comes back with a request for a second hit. One for the half tone and a 40% under run, and another with the photo area knocked out and the rest of the panel 100%. This way the pressman can control the half tone and lay down the 100% as much as needed without worrying about the half tone plugging up. Easy right??? No... Well not for me anyway. I have to show the client a proof and that file also has to be printable. In the old days we would just make the 100% Black and the 40% Cyan and the cyan would create a stay away in the type areas. The client would never see "that" file since we used Matchprints back then. Now that we are using RAMpage I need to be able to show a proof printed on an epson that looks correct. I cannot figure out how to make type have a "stay away" in these situations.
Will this work?
".... you can manually do a pullback like this.
1. Select the object to pull back. (I already tried selecting the type and making it spread...Not working)
2. Select the choke trap and the amount of trap you want. ( There doesnt seem to be any trap)
3. Select the check box of the color you want to pull back.
4. Save.
5. Preview change."
I havent tried this exact way yet, but I have tried several other ways....
