Hi all
We are getting a double after our 5th unit and i need to set the grippers on the double transfer drum between units 5 and 6. we have used a reference template to lift the cam followers up as advised by KBA and set the grippers with a 0.03 shim, but the 5th unit impression grippers are letting go of the sheet before the transferdrum grippers have properly got hold of the sheet, can anybody advise as to how to time the transfer drum grippers. do we need new cam followers?

I never worked on that particular press so I can't get into specifics, but I would check for wear in the cam as well as checking the cam followers. If the bearing gets frozen, it can grind the cam and change your timing.
