PRINERGY to EFi Colourproof

What file type should I be using to send to an EFI colourproof rip from Prinergy, PDF would be best, but if anyone is doing this already what do you use and do you get any problems?

It would be best to send a pre rastered file to the rip. We send 300DPI compressed tiffs with a little anti aliasing. No problems so far....

With a gigabit network 600dpi tifs are good for 4col work. 300dpi is too low for contract proofing, especially for small type. For spot color jobs you're better off with 1bit tifs to allow colorproof to get the spots as close as possible.
