Hi,

Do you know anything about Bodoni? They have a proof verifier, ProofSign, and we like the price.
Any alternatives on that price range?
Thanks,
Marian.

As far as I know, ProofSIGN is kind of unique in the marketplace. And, yeah, compared to other vendors' verification modules, it's a bargain.

Bodoni puts out great products and their support is good.

PM me if you have other questions, or you'd like to see how the product works.

What is the cost for the Bodoni product Rich?

The market appears to sit at around 1-1.5K AUD for a proofing certification option for an existing proofing RIP system.

Kind of off topic but along same lines, what is there available to verify G7 on press, low cost and manual?
Something that shows a Pass/Fail type of indicator and what to do to correct it.

Or is it possible to meet G7, or any other standard for that matter, more than 50-60% of the time?

Thanks

Probably the most popular software to do this is SpotOn. A similar product would be Alwan Print Verifier.

Bodoni Systems' PressSIGN can qualify/score sheets, generate plate curves, give ink key adjustments (like any press console), and provide trending information. It'll read, and provide data for, spot colors, too (up to 16 channels).

Rich, is there anything out there comparable to PressSIGN, mainly with the ability to generate plate curves? We have a Tobias scanner currently but are considering PressSIGN mainly with the curves features in mind, seems invaluable to be able to generate\update curves on the fly for different inks, papers, etc, without having to make a dedicated curves run. And the pressman can adjust solids to lowest dE at the same time.

Our Tobias isn't spectral, I was wondering if the Easy Trax had the ability to generate or provide curve feedback, other than just TVI info.

Thanks

PressSIGN Pro will work with the EasyTrax.

Another product you could consider is MeasureColor.

You could also look at ColorSciences, though we don't sell that one.

The densitometric device isn't going to get you where you want to be.
