Proofing Indigo jobs on a PS laser printer?

Does anyone have experience using this as a workflow?
We are asked to proof revision cycles on our Savin laser printer rather than the Indigo.
I am concerned this may result in issues.

Cut down on time waiting for proof to come from Indigo when we send pdf out to client.

You see we want, when customers only want a pdf proof for a revision cycle, that we don't forget them.

Workflow would be that when the job is OK'd by client, that we would send new file to Indigo and then setup and get an OK.

No not for color, for content changes etc..
The output from the Savin is color and it is capable of 12x18.

I don't see how it could make any issues? Do you mean things like fonts shifting? That shouldn't be a problem. What issues are you anticipating?
