I am looking for someone that is experienced in replacing bearings and rebuilding a small Spinner Motor for a CTP system.
The motor is not dead but the bearing are squeeling.
Lion part of Spinners with rotating speed over 10K rpm has another kind of bearings, known as "aerodynamical" and they have no balls inside.
KimSaks, tell us a model name of your CTP, pls.
The spin motor is only a 5100 rpm motor. I doubt it has air bearings.
It fits to a Xante (RipIt) VioletMetal platesetter.
The motor itself is manufactured by EAD which is now owned by Electrocraft and is manufactured in the USA.
Almost correct.... It only has a single facet prism.
It is a 10.8 volt - 0.7 amp motor.
Rather small compared to a lot I've worked with and seen in imagesetters and scanners.
Do you know of anyone who can replace the bearings and/or service the motor?
