Xerox DC242 - Help please!

Hello there,

We need help again with this machine.

A thick black line appeared across the sheets. I turned the machine off and on, the line disappear and then it appeared again after about 100 impressions.

Possbily Charge Corotron (on black drum) try swapping the entire Black Drum or just the Corotron unit if you have one.

It is indeed the Charge Corotron, luckily I had a new one I replaced it with and it worked.

I must say that people in this forum are more helpful than the Xerox support team.

Its the corotron cleaner. If the problem returns have the tech replace the motor that runs it.
