Xerox Docucolor 252 vs 250

Mostly software (Engine and RIPs), any patches, new programs, new versions that have came out or will come out are for the DC252, not the DC250.

For instance, if Windows 8 or MAC OS XI is coming in the near future, it will probably be developed for the DC252, not the DC250.

Also, in the US, difference in Maintenance Plans, as the DC250 is considered obsolete, the DC252 is the current model.

Option Differences

Hello!

The IQ will be the same on the DC252 and 250, two of your biggest differences is the finishing and some features on the printer's User Interface.

On the 252 you can add the Light Production Finisher that allows you to make saddle-stitched books, as well as Z and C-folding. The 250 you do have an option for saddle-stitched books (the Professional Finisher); however, you will not have any kind of option to do inline letter folding.

On the User Interface, you have more functionality to promote jobs, add bates stamping, ID card copying (copy both sides of the card and print it on the same side of paper)... little things like that.

The Image Quality and Speed is exactly the same.
