Xerox Toner Shortages-Anyone Else Having Problems?

So I have been waiting on a shipment of toner now for 3 weeks and the order still hasn't been processed. Ive been in contact with our local rep and he has been working on it, but I keep getting emails from the escalation teams that the toner hasn't been released yet and there's no stock to release. As of today an email said hopefully 8-10 more days.

Has anyone else been having this problem? We will be running out of toner today if we run the jobs we currently have ready.

I feel like at this point im going to have to start looking at a new company. Which I would hate to do because Xerox service has been great and our local rep is great. But if I cant print and make money then those things are useless to me.

Xerox is having toner and drum issues here in the USA for a couple different machines. I hear that KM is having issues in the UK area due to a toner factory blowing up. I have not heard of any shortages for Ricoh yet.

Can't someone with a 3100 ship him some toner overnight or via FedEx Ground? He can ship you the same product amount back when he is able to get it in stock. Help a fellow printer out if you can!

I appreciate it! Although id feel bad because I currently wouldn't know when I could ship it back to someone as it doesn't seem like stock is even available. And id hate for someone else to run out because they shipped some to me!

Same problem here with Iridesse toner. 2 and half weeks now and still saying back ordered.

That's respectable! Bummer to hear about your current situation...I know it can be quite frustrating. I almost feel like Xerox/KM/etc should re-imburse us if they cause us to lose jobs or pay for outsourcing during these shortages...but I know that will never happen.

We are in Southern California and Konica Minolta has been having toner supply issues as well in recent months. We has some scary moments of almost running out, but we usually try to keep a large supply on hand to avoid that. At one point, some nearby shops had completely run out of toner for the C6085/C6100 series. The KM service manager asked us if they could 'borrow' some toner from us to help out the other shops. As much as we wanted to be nice (especially since we are an in-plant and not in competition with them), we were afraid we'd run out since KM had no ETA on when they'd be able to replenish our stock.

No problems getting toner for my V-80 here in Fort Lauderdale.

In fact I just got an automated delivery today.

However that toner is suspect because it causes drum damage and drastically shortens their lifespan.

Drums are hard to get and yet I have gone through many more than normal.

I have to plead with the service techs to put in an order of drums for me.

If not for them I would have been down for the past 6 months.

We're also having massive drum issues and replacing far faster than normal. We could potentially end up completely down if they can't sort it out.

If you can get your techs to tell you which toner lot numbers on the boxes to avoid putting into your machine that will help a lot. A specialist came in and took 15 boxes of toner with him when they inspected what we had and said those boxes were from the bad batch. Once they get rid of the bad toner they have to replace all our developer units and kits (still waiting on this) and then that should prevent the drums from going out so quickly.

My understanding is this is a global issue so I'm not sure how much worse this is going to get before it gets better.

If you have V2100s the bad lot numbers are anything lower than 1034 so if your boxes have a number on them higher than 1034 then it's safe to use. I don't know about the other machines.

the lot numbers start with
W4 then 4 digits then an F
so you are saying the lot numbers should be higher than
W4 1034 F ?
if thats the case what should the lowest number be because I have some toner thats at least 2 years old
thanks

If a tech came in a tried to take toner off our shelves right now it’d be considered fighting terms lol.

No problems here in Ireland, delivery just in the door of toner and drums.

Glad to see the drums are brand new official Xerox dated Aug21, last batch were generic blank boxes with dates stamped on them from 2006 which didn't last long.
