Suprasetter calibration for Saphira Eclipse Processless plates

Good Day
Our pressman has complained about the reuse of these plates, after trying to clean the plate (he used plate cleaner and that still left a stain on the plate so he decided to use plate fix which damaged the image), This plate only ran about 2000 impressions and was cleaned and gum was applied, we tried to reuse it about 2 weeks after. Our plate supplier is suggesting that we have to calibrate the A105 before using these plates. I used some recently for a job with about 4000 impressions and it worked well.
Any info will be appreciated

Regards
Peter

We don't store and re-use processless plates, the time taken to gum and store them outweighs any savings. We just re-expose the plates.

The Saphira/AGFA Eclipse plate was designed to be single use. But we do have 1-2 customers saving and reusing plates with this product.
But as Magnus59 said , the time wasted cleaning, gumming and bringing the plate back with no issues. Outweighs the time and cost to reimage a fresh plate with no issues. Over the period of a year these times adds up.

The Allied Plate Fix is a a very strong product. We usually replace this product at most shops. Not recommended for use on any AGFA Thermofuse (Azura) or Thermolink (Eclipse) products.

AGFA Recommends the following products for the Eclipse Plate:
Plate cleanerANTURA CtP Plate CleanerANTURA UV PL Cleaner
Fountain solutionANTURA fount AFS2 (for alcohol-free or up to 8% IPA printing)
Roller and blanket washXtrawash 40/60Antura Wash UV 74A
Correction materialProcess-free deletion pen
Pressroom specialtiesANTURA contrast enhancer

The ANTURA Contrast Enhancer is used on the plate to read the dot during creation of a plate linearization curve.

I hope this helps.
